Overview
Jaime has a busy practice and accepts instructions in all of Chambers’ areas of practice. Jaime is recognised for her professionalism, preparation, and compassionate approach whilst providing robust practical advice to client’s and presenting their case confidently in court.
Jaime was awarded the Cunningham Scholarship from Middle Temple prior to completing the BPTC and being Called to the Bar in July 2022.
Jaime takes an analytical and robust approach to cases, always ensuring she is well-prepared. Jaime has an ability to put clients at ease quickly and is a reassuring presence both outside and inside of the courtroom.
Before joining St Mary’s, Jaime worked as a Family Law Paralegal in Nottingham where she gained invaluable experience in Private and Public Law Children cases. Since joining Chambers, Jaime has undertaken a specialist Family Law Pupillage covering all aspects of Public Law, Private Law, and Financial Remedies. Jaime became a tenant in February 2023 after successfully completing her pupillage.
Jaime has completed the FLBA Advocacy and The Vulnerable training.
Practice Areas
Jaime accepts instructions in Public Law Proceedings acting for local authorities, parents and children (through their guardian) at all stages of hearings including, contested interim removals, case management, issues resolution hearings, fact finding hearings and final hearings.
Jaime prides herself on her robust but approachable manner and her ability to put the most vulnerable clients at ease.
Jaime has had a variety of experience in Private Law Children matters. This includes instructions for hearings at all stages in proceedings, including directions hearings, final hearings and fact-finding hearings. Jaime has a good manner with clients and is able to support them through the Court process.
Jaime has experience in cases involving allegations of parental alienation, domestic abuse, international relocation, sexual abuse, and physical abuse against children.
Jaime is expanding her practice in Family Financial Remedies. Jaime has experience in First Dispute Appointments and First Dispute Resolution Appointments. Jaime has a personable yet realist approach to clients.
Jaime has also represented parties in applications pursuant to the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
Jaime has successfully represented applicants and respondents at all stages of Family Law Act proceedings, including Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders. Jaime has represented clients in cases involving alcohol and substance abuse, financial coercive control, rape, mental health issues, physical and emotional abuse against partners, children and extended family members.
