Overview
Monique became a tenant after successfully completing pupillage under the supervision of Sara Davis, Hannah Simpson and Joshua Hazelwood.
Monique has since developed a busy practice, taking instructions in Public Law proceedings, Private Law Children matters and financial matters. Monique has built good working relationships with both professional and lay clients due to her empathetic approach, ensuring clients feel supported and confident throughout the legal process.
Monique has built a reputation as a dedicated advocate, who provides practical advice in a straightforward manner. She has a good attention for detail and approaches every case in a robust manner.
Before Joining St Mary’s, Monique worked as a Lecturer teaching Law and Psychology. Monique was awarded the Droop Scholarship from Lincoln’s Inn while completing the BPTC and was called to the Bar in 2021.
Practice Areas
Acting for local authorities, parents and children (through their guardian) including, contested interim removals, case management hearings, issues resolution hearings and final hearings.
Monique is regularly instructed for hearings at all stages in proceedings, including directions hearings, final hearings and fact-finding hearings. Monique has experience in cases involving allegations of parental alienation, domestic abuse, sexual abuse and physical abuse.
Monique is also regularly instructed in proceedings concerning applications for occupation orders and non-molestation orders.
