Mark McCluskey retires from the Bar

21 January 2025 Mark Mc Cluskey 1600x800

Everyone at St. Mary’s would like to wish Mark McCluskey a long and happy retirement from the Bar as he waves farewell to St. Mary’s after 22 years.

Mark was called to the Bar in 2001 and completed his pupillage with St. Mary’s in 2003 and has been a much valued and popular member of Chambers ever since. Mark has served various roles in Chambers during his career, not least as a pupil supervisor where he has supported many pupils through to obtaining tenancy at St. Mary’s. Mark will be sorely missed by all at St. Mary’s, and we wish him the best in his next chapter.

Head of Chambers, Claire Howell said: “Anyone that has had the pleasure of working with Mark will know that this is bittersweet. Mark is a much loved and respected Member of Chambers and all staff and barristers will feel his absence. But I am very happy for Mark and his family, and do wish him a long and happy retirement which he thoroughly deserves. Mark has been a beacon of kindness and I shall miss him very much.”
